Vice President Addresses 39th Convocation of IGNOU in New Delhi

New Delhi: The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, addressed the 39th Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in New Delhi, where over 3.2 lakh learners were awarded degrees, diplomas, and certificates.

Describing IGNOU as a pillar of inclusive and accessible higher education, the Vice President noted that the university’s learner base exceeds the population of many countries, reflecting its vast reach and impact.

Emphasizing the importance of balanced progress, Jagdeep Dhankhar stated that modern development must align with India’s rich traditions, and scientific advancements should be guided by strong ethical values.

He commended IGNOU’s role in democratizing education and empowering learners across diverse regions, reaffirming the importance of education in nation-building.
