Prime Minister Pays Homage to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in Parliament Complex

New Delhi, April 14, 2026: The Prime Minister today paid heartfelt homage to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the Parliament complex on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Paying tribute to the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, the Prime Minister recalled Dr. Ambedkar’s unparalleled contribution to nation-building, social justice, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. He emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals continue to guide India’s democratic framework and inspire generations.

The Prime Minister noted that Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of equality, dignity, and inclusive development remains central to the country’s progress. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to realizing these ideals and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society.

Highlighting the importance of remembering great leaders, the Prime Minister said that Dr. Ambedkar’s life and teachings serve as a powerful reminder of the values enshrined in the Constitution and the responsibilities of citizens in strengthening the nation.

Floral tributes were offered at the statue of Dr. Ambedkar within the Parliament premises, with dignitaries and officials joining in paying their respects.
